Saturday, May 17 is World Whisky Day, dedicated to celebrating and enjoying Whisky in all its forms. Scotch, Bourbon, Japanese and Irish Whiskeys and all other similar brown liquids will be poured around the globe.
World Whisky Day is a young tradition that was started in 2012 by Blair Bowman, a graduate from Aberdeen, Scotland, but is conquering the world with the speed of light. This year’s celebration will be bigger than ever, starting in Aberdeen with Ceilidh, a traditional Gaelic celebration with music and dance.
It will be followed by tastings and other events on all continents, so make sure to join the Whisky worship either by going to events near you, or keep it private and intimate with a Whisky tasting party for you and your friends.
