All about City of London
City of London Dry Gin is the distillery’s flagship offering. The original launched soon after the City of London Distillery did, it’s a very different tipple today.
While there was nothing wrong with the original 2013 recipe, it was a very traditional London Dry Gin style, with little standout. Master Distiller Jonathan Clark took advice from other renowned Gin distillers, and today’s offering is much improved.
It’s still a very traditional Gin, featuring coriander seed, angelica root, liquorice root and citrus peels (lemon, orange and pink grapefruit). It is a very good example of a ‘house’ Gin, and so stands up in a Negroni or a G&T. They produce five signature Gins all with the classic juniper flavor profiles.

All about City of London distillery
The City of London Distillery (or COLD for short), launched in 2012. It took just seven months from its inception by founders Jamie Baxter and Master Distiller Jonathan Clark, to opening the doors in late 2012.COLD was the first distillery to open in the city of London – commonly known as the square mile – for almost 200 years. But more than that, the distillery is also a bar.
All built on the same site, the subterranean location is decked out as a beautiful cocktail bar, with the two copper pot stills on display at the back of the room. It’s easy to while away a few hours sipping cocktails and watching the Gin-making action take place.
The distillery produces more than one brand of Gin. In fact, its portfolio contains virtually every type of Gin you can think of; City of London No. 1 Gin, City of London Christopher Wren Gin, City of London Old Tom Gin, City of London Sloe Gin and City of London Square Mile Gin.
