All about Elephant Gin
Elephant Gin is handmade in Germany at an undisclosed location. Inspired by Africa, Elephant Gin came to life after three friends wanted to produce a Spirit which would ultimately help conserve Africa’s wildlife.
15% of Elephant Gin’s profits are donated to two elephant conservation charities; the Big Life Trust and Space for Elephants.
The Gin is made with 14 botanicals, many of which are completely unique to this particular brand of Gin; Buchu, Baobab, Lion’s Tail, Devil’s Claw and Wormwood all come from Africa and bring a distinct flavor to the Gin.
It’s fairly light on the traditional side, with only one citrus peel and no coriander or orris root in sight. Each batch (around 800 bottles) sees the botanicals macerated for 24 hours in a copper still, before being diluted to 45% with spring water from Hamburg.
