All about Jinzu
Jinzu Gin is Japanese inspired and Scottish made. Developed in 2013 as an entry (and resulting winner) into Diageo’s Show Your Spirit competition, bartender Dee Davies came up with this British Gin with Japanese influences.
The Gin is distilled at the Cameronbridge distillery, and made in a traditional copper still by macerating coriander and juniper in neutral grain Spirit, before the addition of cherry blossom and yuzu citrus fruit.
Once distillation is complete, Junmai Sake (also made at the same site) is added, before the mixture is cut with water and bottled.
The result is a fresh, smooth and creamy Spirit – thanks to the addition of Sake – with a not indistinct amount of juniper running throughout.
