All about Larceny Bourbon
Larceny Bourbon is a nameplate of Heaven Hill Distillery. The brand was built around John E. Fitzgerald who was a federal treasury agent. Back then, treasury agents had the keys to the storage rick-houses.
During the evening hours he would slip in to “sample” the barrels. The inside joke became that if a barrel of Bourbon was lighter than the day before, it must have been so good, that Ol’ Fitz must have taken a lot of samples. They named the brand Ol’ Fitzgerald after him.
Larceny Bourbon is a tribute to the Whiskey he “stole” while protecting it. There is even a key on the label. It is a sweeter and smoother wheated Bourbon containing no rye.
Crafted with notes of fresh-baked bread, butterscotch, it has a finish that is both sweet and savory. It has a double gold medal, and was ranked #18 among the Top 120 Spirits in the world.
