All about Rebel Bourbon
The original Rebel Bourbon Whiskey was made by the W. L. Weller & Sons company. And though that distillery popped into existence in 1849, it wasn’t until the mid-1900s that they started bottling American Whiskeys under the Rebel Bourbon brand.
Since the early 1980s the label has been attended to by American Whiskey-lover David Sherman’s beverage company, Lux Row Distillers. They have six core Whiskeys in their line up.
The story goes that Keith Richards brought the bottle of Rebel to a party. After drinking with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones, Billie Idol asked if he could borrow the name of the Whiskey for a song titlle.
Rebel Kentucky Straight Bourbon is full of of flavor and spice. Expect butter and wildflower honey and bit of dried fruit. It’s bottled at a standard 40% ABV.
