All about Royal Salute
Royal Salute is a seriously classy blended Whisky produced by the Chivas Brothers. It was first created in 1953 in honor of Queen Elizabeth II and was presented to her on the day of her Coronation. It was given the name Royal Salute – after the famous 21-gun-salute – and so began the story of a remarkable Whisky.
Royal Salute is born in the Strathisla Distillery—the oldest continuously operating distillery in Scotland. Chivas Brothers recognized that they would need a consistent supply of very high-quality malt Whisky, they decided to take charge and blend it themselves, and Strathisla was their source.
Since then, Royal Salute has produced many other luxury blends to celebrate momentous events in the lives of the British Monarchy. Behind this drive for perfection lies the true secret to the success of Royal Salute – its legendary storehouses across Scotland.
The brand’s excellent Signature Blend brings together a selection of rare Scotch Whiskies, blending this magical concoction for at least 21 years. Today, Royal Salute is one the most popular Scotch Whisky brands in the world and produces a range of Whiskies for a worldwide audience.
