Templeton Rye took the world by storm a few years ago. They launched their vision for Iowa Rye Whiskey in 2006 — at just the right time to capitalize on the exploding market for this classic Whiskey.
Contracted out to MGP Indiana, Templeton quickly become on of the most popular Rye Whiskeys in America. The brand claims that the original recipe was appreciated by the likes of a certain Mafia kingpin.
Famous gangster Al Capone smuggled and bootlegged his way to fortune, but always insisted on having a bottle of “the good stuff” around for himself — and he was referring the the original recipe for Templeton Rye.
They sell their Rye Whiskey at a standard 40% ABV. The flavors are main line Rye, with plenty of spice and caramel throughout.
