No reviews
700ml

Abasolo El Whisky De Mexico is crafted from 100% Mexican Cacahuazintle (kaka

Featuring deep, nuanced notes of roasted corn, honey, vanilla, black tea, and leather, this whisky’s unique profile is revealed through nixtamalization—a 4,000-year- old cooking technique never before used in whisky production but fundamental in Mexican cuisine.

Taste a 100% Mexican Whisky, Distilled from Ancestral Corn

Built in 2019, Abasolo Distillery stands proudly in Jilotepec de Abasolo, at 7,800 feet above sea level—the birthplace of corn. This isn’t your typical whisky distillery; nestled in a region renowned for its maize, it’s the first to produce Mexican whisky made purely from ancestral corn. With 100% heritage cacahuazintle corn and an ancient nixtamalization process typically reserved for food, Abasolo creates a unique spirit. The inaugural offering, Abasolo Ancestral Corn Whisky, embodies this blend of tradition and innovation.

Abasolo Ancestral Corn Whisky is a groundbreaker: the first whisky made entirely from ancestral Mexican cacahuazintle corn. This distinct variety, cultivated by local farmers for over 200 generations, undergoes nixtamalization to reveal deep flavors of roasted corn, honey, vanilla, black tea, and leather. At its core, this 86-proof whisky celebrates Mexican heritage with every sip, offering a tasting experience unlike any other.
