Amor Mio was founded in 1996 in Jalisco—Tequila central. The proprietor is Jesus Partida and he is determined to do it all right from the start. All of their Tequilas are “estate” spirits. This means that the agave farm is theirs, the distillery is theirs, the aging is theirs, and it is bottled on site. And we have to tell you, Senor Partida is an artist AND craftsman. He built a distillery—called Tequila Tres Mujers—that has the best of old-school methods combined with modern safety and purity standards. Even his distillery is a thing of beauty.

Amore Mio crafts a full line of premium Tequilas: Blanco, Rested, Aged, Ultra Aged, and a Limited Edition. Their entire line has won numerous awards, and their presentation carries that artistry forward. Every Tequila-lover should try their entire line at least once, and save the bottles for posterity.

Amor Mio means “my love” and you are. Just look at the presentation of this bottle. Amazing! And that ain’t knock-off Taiwan plastic. That is genuine made-south-of-the-border high-end porcelain with a matching ceramic stopper. And they say that each bottle is handmade, so no two are exactly alike! Amor Mio Extra Añejo Tequila is, by definition, and “extra añejo.” To the layman, that means aged more than three years. But Amor Mio goes all the way. This stuff is aged a full four years in French oak … yep, that’s right. These guys ain’t fooling around. And it is 100% blue agave—of course—and everything else is old-school Tequila awesomeness … the way it should be hombre!
