Sea whipped Whisky.

Arran is the only distillery on the Isle of Arran and was founded in 1994 by Harold Currie, a former Chivas Brothers director. While this distillery is relatively new, it has already proven that it is capable of producing outstandingly distinct Whisky. In the past 20 years they have won a number of prestigious awards and accolades. Most of this liquid gold is turned into single malts, but they also produce blended Scotch as well as a liqueur. It shows that great Scotch can be produced even if decades or centuries of tradition in a distillery are absent. Arran is one of the last remaining independent Scottish distilleries.

The Arran Lochranza Reserve is matured exclusively in American Oak barrels that have been used to store Bourbon before. The name derives from the village of Lochranza on the northwestern tip of the Arran Island where the distillery is situated. Due to the warm Gulf Stream that blows past the Island Arran, this is regarded as the fastest ageing Scotch Whisky. It is non- chillfiltered and no artificial colouring is used in making of this no age statement Dram. Let’s repeat: non, no & no.

A bit of classic Arran at the nose. Stingy at the first taste, spicy and short taste. Fruity and zesty. Lovely for a young NAS
