Shortly after Prohibition, Albert B. Blanton commissioned the construction of a metal-clad warehouse at Buffalo Trace—the only one of its kind. That’s because good ol’ Blanton figured out that metal transfers heat faster than brick, which allows for faster aging. Someone was using their noggin there.

This 2018 bottling was specially picked for Maison du Monde. Matured in barrel #85 and bottled at 50% ABV.
