Tastes like spring rain falling on a Belgian herb garden.
Serge Buss opened his first restaurant at the age of 20 in his native Antwerp, Belgium. Coming from a long line of entrepreneurs and his passion for great-tasting, quirky cuisine translated neatly into crafting his own premium beverages. So he founded Buss Spirits and the first Gin & Tonic bar in Belgium—Bar Bounce—in 2013. In just a few years this little distillery has created six different award-winning Gins, two premium tonic mixers, two limited edition liqueurs, and now a Rum. And it seems to us that Serge Buss is just getting started.
The third product to come out of Serge Buss’s Belgian Skunkworks is their gold medal-winning Buss No.509 White Rain Gin. And these guys are serious about their Gin, serving it up at 50% ABV. This makes a lot of sense since they are formulated to stand up to mixers and cocktails. The botanical mix is straight-forward—juniper, coriander, licorice, angelica, vanilla, cardamom, iris, orange, and lemon—but they spice up the flavor profile by adding verbena and marjoram. The result is like a gentle spring rain in an herb garden which, we assume, is the whole point.
