Founded in 1818 by Peter F. Heering, Heering Cherry Liqueur is an iconic and authentic Scandinavian Spirit. With over 2 centuries of tradition, this time-honored creation was the trophy winner of the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) in 2019. But what’s its story? Heering was a young businessman and trader in the Copenhagen harbor who got an old cherry Liqueur recipe from his former boss’s wife. Apparently, he saw potential in the Spirit because he sent it off to travel the world on cargo ships from Calcutta to Madras and from Shanghai to Jakarta. It turned out that everybody loves this high-quality, premium cherry Liqueur. And ‘till this day, Heering remains all about tradition, craft, flavor, and quality.

Cherry Heering is still made after the old family recipe with real cherries and botanicals that result in its distinct rich flavor. The cherries are picked in August and crushed with stone that give that hints of almond. Herbs and spices are added before the juice is aged for 3 years in oak.
