The classic Chivas Regal blend, only richer, warmer, and better with Sherry influence and a bit more age.
Chivas Regal was born in the Strathisla Distillery which was founded in 1786, making it the oldest continuously operating distillery in Scotland. The Chivas Brothers — purveyors of gourmet foods and Liqueurs since 1801 — received a royal warrant to supply fine Scotch Whisky to Queen Victoria at Balmoral Castle in 1843. Recognizing that they would need a consistent supply of very high quality Spirit, they decided to blend it themselves, and Strathisla was their primary source. So, they bought the distillery. Today, Chivas Regal is one of the most popular Scotch Whisky brands in the world, producing a range of Whiskies for a world-wide audience.
For millions of Scotch fans around the world, Chivas Regal defines the blended Scotch experience. Chivas Regal Extra 13 Year Old Scotch Whisky take it up a notch or two… or three.
Not only has this dram been richly aged an additional year longer than the core Spirits, but a selection of the Whiskies that go into the blend have been aged in Oloroso Sherry casks. The result has a nice Sherry influence while retaining the original character. This is our favorite Spirit so far.
