Sweet Oak and Spicy vanilla

Situated in the picturesque foothills of the Cooley Mountains of Co. Louth, Cooley Distillery is owned by the Kilbeggan Distilling Company. This distillery produces Kilbeggan and Tyrconnell Whiskey as well as the most recent brand Connemara Peated. The Kilbeggan brand itself is based in the Kilbeggan Distillery, found along the banks of the River Brosna. This is the oldest distillery in Ireland, dating back to 1757, and still produces whisky with its long heritage in mind.

One of the oldest expressions released by Connemara Distillery, this is a peated and fruity malt. It has been matured in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels, giving it a sweet oaky flavour and a hint of spicy vanilla. The peat smoke ties in well with the tangy fruit flavours and emphasises the sweetness of the malt.
