After a long and arduous journey, our Deer, Bear & Moose tracked down another wondrous pair befitting of the company: Glentauchers cask no.7336 and cask no.7358, aged 20 years and vatted to perfection.

Its Lannister gold is complemented superbly by its rich and honey-sweet character, while keeping things crispy with citrusy and fruity notes.

Glentauchers perfected its craft through stills that have been dripping first class Scotch for over a century. This Speyside dram remains a key component of famous blends, but it is not the blends that interest us here… it’s the glorious 1% they hold back for single malt releases. And with the marriage of these two royal casks, they’ve nailed it—with a sledgehammer.

Nose / Aroma / Smell

Floral with hints of barley, vanilla, and lots of fruity essences.

Flavor / Taste / Palate

Oaky, with fruity, citrusy freshness. Some earthy undertones with a bung clots taste.

Finish

Long finish with a hell-a-sweet honey pleasantness mixed with spicy, peppery sensations.
