When it comes to mothballed distilleries and their diminishing stock, Port Ellen is one of the most searched for bottles out there. This Islay beauty was distilled in 1979—the same exact year the distillery closed its doors. Talk about timing.

Bottled by Douglas Laing in 2014, this Whisky was aged for 25 years. To give it that extra... je nais sais quo, it was finished in a Sherry cask for six months. Only 396 bottles were drawn from cask #5258. That isn't a whole lot, so...
