Heaven Hill Distillers is unique. They are one of the oldest and largest Bourbon distillers in the world, they have the second-largest standing inventory of aging Bourbon, and they have grown to become the seventh-largest supplier of Spirits in the US. BUT… they are still family-owned. In fact, they are the only family-owned production house left in Kentucky. You’ve got to respect the Shapira family! The Spirit brands owned and controlled by Heaven Hill include Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, their namesake Heaven Hill, and many dozens more.
In 1783, Evan Williams was the guy who opened Kentucky’s first distillery on the banks of the Ohio River. Like its namesake, Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon is full of character. It’s been aged way longer than it’s required by law and the result is a smooth, rich, and approachable Bourbon with flavors of oak, caramel, and brown sugar. Clocking in at a pleasant 86 proof, this lovely amber liquid might just be your next everyday sipper.
