Galliano, Spirito Italiano. How did this iconic Spirit come to be? It all started with a terribly charismatic Italian national war hero. That’s where this luminously gold Liqueur got its name from. Arturo Vaccari created it in 1888 in Torino and it’s still made there today at Marasci Quirici. The recipe could be mistaken for a medieval elixir with all the herbs, plants, roots, spices, and flower seeds that go into it. And all the herbs still come from the area today. Galliano rose to fame during the great Gold Rush when thousands of Italians fled to California and Galliano was right there to remind them of their homeland. Even the tall, slender bottle was inspired by the columns of Rome. The Italian Spirit par excellence.
Galliano Espresso adds some coffee magic to the iconic mix. And not just any coffee - there are two varieties of dark roasted coffee beans: 55% Arabica coffee from Colombia and Brazil as well as 45% Robusta coffee beans from India and Kenya. It’s one of the most awarded coffee Liqueurs, having won Double Gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Excellent score & Great Value at Ultimate Spirits Challenge, 91 points by Wine Enthusiast, 93 points by Beverage Testing Institute in 2021. This is a serious coffee Liqueur with deeper, more bodacious, and intense flavors for unforgettable cocktails. And don’t forget, there are countless ways to enjoy this unique Liqueur: neat, on the rocks, in a Espresso Martini, Coffee Old Fashioned, Espresso Iced Coffee. Go nuts.
