It’s as if classic London Dry Gin had a winter fling with a luscious tropical Mojito in Miami.
Generous Gin is owned by a relative newcomer to the distilling revolution: Creative Spirits - O de Vie SAS located in the small hamlet of La Rochefoucauld within the Cognac region of France. They began as a small producer of Arcane French Rum just a few years ago, but business has been good and their reputation for craftsmanship has spread. The company has since branched out to Beach House Spiced Rum and their newly released Generous Gin.
This is about as ground-floor-opportunity as you can get. The first bottles of Generous Gin just hit the market a few months ago and people are buzzing. Don’t tell Uncle Flaviar we told you, but you should get a few bottles now before the price spikes … ‘cuz it always does on the good stuff!
On the outside, the bottle looks like it was plucked from a Ming Dynasty palace of fine porcelain. Even the shape … classic, yet new … exotic, yet familiar. It’s really nice. On this inside you will find a “generous” helping of botanicals. Juniper … well duh! But interestingly, the juniper takes a back seat to citrus zest, elderberries, and blood orange. You will also get a whiff of lime, pepper, and other fruits. It’s as if classic a London Dry Gin had a winter fling with a luscious tropical Mojito in Miami.
