The 1st of its kind, finished in both American AND Spanish oak casks.

Founded in 1887, with machinery bought from the Cardhu Distillery, William Grant created Glenfiddich. Still in the hands of the Grant family, Glenfiddich is the biggest selling malt Whisky worldwide and remains Scottish owned and independent. William Grant pioneered their Whiskies as 'single malts' at a time when malts were produced to supply the blended Whisky producers. It's a vision that has paid off, thanks for creating the category Mr. Grant!

Matured for 14 years in American Oak and finished in new fill American and Spanish Oak casks, this is an exploration in wooded perfection. Glenfiddich is of course a World-renowned malt, and this is a great addition to the already extensive family of Whiskies on offer. But why use two different types of Oak? Surely there can’t be that much of a difference between two trees? Well there is. The American Oak adds more of a vanilla sweetness, while the Spanish introduces more fragrant spice to the liquid. This is the first new fill American and Spanish Oak finished malt in the World, and is definitely something every Whisky enthusiast should invest in.

The bourbon barrel finish does...

The bourbon barrel finish doesn’t seem to work. Tastes very “synthetic” to me. It’s not terrible and has a great burn to it.
