In the 1730s, a brewery was built in the Scottish Highlands, namely on the Morangie Farm, and a hundred years later, it was refurbished into a distillery we all know and love: Glenmorangie. Their Spirits are not created equal - they are raised as aristocrats. The water comes from pristine spring of Tarlogie and the magic that happens is a result of a teamwork of sixteen men, affectionately known as the Sixteen Men of Tain. These knights of Whisky distill the potion in the tallest stills in Scotland, creating a lighter and more refined Whisky.

Glenmorangie releases a snazzy Private Edition each year, offering Scotch aficionados something exciting and unique. Year Nine was especially extravagant since Spios came out (Spios means 'spice' in Gaelic). Director of Whisky Creation, Dr Bill Lumsen came up with Glenmorangie's first Scotch entirely matured in American barrels that used to hold Kentucky Rye Whiskey. The result is a wonderful and balanced Whisky that is both unmistakably Glenmorangie and a delightful homage to the bygone elegance of America's golden era.
