Aroma that will knock your kilt off.

Located near Tain in the Northern Highlands, the Glenmorangie Distillery was founded in 1843 when the Matheson brothers converted the Morangie farm. Their stills are the tallest in Scotland at 26’ —ensuring that only the lightest vapors make it to the top and resulting in a smooth, fresh, and elegant range of 23 fine Single Malt Whiskies.

In Northern Scotland, Saint Duthac is a big deal. No fewer than 3 towns, several chapels, a college, and even a Loch (lake) are named after this patron saint of Tain who died in the year 1065. Now that the masters at Glenmorangie have added Duthac to their Legends line, the medieval saint now has one of the best Single Malt Whiskies available to add to his list of namesakes.

All Glenmorangie Whiskies are really good. But most spend the bulk of their aging years in ex-Bourbon casks. Glenmorangie Duthac is aged in Pedro Ximenez Sherry and virgin oak casks. It has a buttery texture and a perfume-like aroma that is truly exceptional. Duthac is normally only available to travel retail, so this is a full 1L bottle of Highland excellence.

Got this from a tasting kit. Taste is fine, easy to drink. A bit spicy taste, slight vanilla on the nose.
