Glentauchers 17YO 1996 - Single Cask Collection

Only 167 bottles were ever made

At the end of the 19^th century, when Glentauchers came to life, the boom of distilleries was in full swing. Before they started producing for other brands, they were known for their expertise in crafting rather special Speyside malts.

The problem, as with a lot of Speyside Whiskies used in the production of blended Scotch, is that they are sometimes overlooked, as if they cannot stand for themselves. Boy, are some people wrong. Let’s just thank the good people from Single cask collection who sniffed out great casks that were supposed to go into blends and for bringing them to us, so that they may never be forgotten and can be enjoyed to the fullest.

What they brough us is the Glentauchers 17YO 1996, an extremely limited Glentauchers dram from cask 1155. Only 167 bottles were ever made. It pays to be good!
