Mysterious Dylanesque Tennessee Bourbon.

In 2018 Bob Dylan registered the trademark for "Bootleg Whiskey", setting in motion a series of events that would lead him to collaborate with Master Blender Ryan Perry and Marc Bushala. The first is an experienced Spirit-crafter who cut his teeth on new & used cask programs for various Spirits under some of the largest producers, and the second is the entrepreneur behind Angel's Envy Bourbon. In early 2018 they cut a deal to craft a line of Bourbons in collaboration with the famous poet, troubadour, folk-rock music hero, and Nobel Prize winner. This is how the "Heaven’s Door" line of premium Spirits came to be. And unlike many other so-called "celebrity brands" that are all marketing hype, it has won over 40 medals along with a bunch of other accolades — presented in stunning artistic bottles.

Heaven’s Door Straight Bourbon Whiskey spent a minimum of six years in new American oak barrels, bringing a balance of sweet vanilla and spicy flavors to the expression. The flavors refuse to stop coming and they say it tastes even better when you play Dylan. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at a perfectly lovely 46% ABV.

Tested this one with great ant...

Tested this one with great anticipation but must say it was a disappointment.. On the nose it’s ok, but it leaves little after that. For 75 bucks there is a lot out there that’s a hell of a lot better.. was it 30 it would be a good one for mixing. Heard a lot good about the rye, so mabye I just was unlucky

A little boozy on the nose but...

A little boozy on the nose but otherwise very enjoyable. Super-smooth with caramel and vanilla prominent on the palate. Pleasant finish as well. A highly recommended sipping bourbon.
