A lovely London Dry Gin with a floral palate and soft finish.

Winner of 6 prestigious gold awards with a score of 95 points, Highclere Castle Gin was founded in 2017 by Adam von Gootkin and the 8th Earl & Countess of Carnarvon. Adam is the co-founder of Onyx Spirits company — the Connecticut-based maker of Moonshine. But while watching a documentary about Highclere Castle — the iconic stately home used as the backdrop for Downton Abbey — he was inspired to launch a Gin that reflects the spirit of the estate. And in the Langley Distillery — the England’s Oldest Gin Distillery — they brought this inspiration to life.

Highclere Castle Gin is distilled from a blend of 10 botanicals featuring delicate citrus notes from oranges grown on Highclere’s ancient estate. With an award-winning smooth finish, it is the first super-premium Gin that can be enjoyed straight on the rocks or used to elevate any cocktail.

The philosophy behind Highclere Castle Gin's taste profile is referred to as, "garden to glass", reflecting the spirit of the Highclere estate. The infusions are largely what you would expect in a London Dry — juniper (of course), lavender, orange zest, lime flower, cardamom, cassia, angelica, and coriander are there. Highclere’s famously grown oats were infused in the blend, which is fairly unique and softens the finish. It’s bottled at a very respectable 43.5% ABV. Finally, we would be remiss if we did not call attention to the lovely, square, purple-glass bottle with an image of the castle placed high and proud.

Elevate the moment and celebrate with the spirit of Highclere Castle.

Smartass Corner:
Highclere Castle is famous around the world as "the real Downton Abbey". Highclere Castle's extravagant parties have been held in style since the 1800’s, hosting many of the world’s most interesting people over Gin cocktails.

Wasn't a bad London Dry gin but didn't live up to all the hype.

Pleasant, floral, slight citrus, herby. There are better gins out there but I'm glad I bought this. I prefer Tanqueray 10 over this. Received this with the Gin-ne-sais-quoi set, which was trash unfortunately. Flaviar desperately needs better gins.

I really don't know how to improve on a gin! Why not give it a 10?! I have no good answer. Makes an amazing martini, hold the vermouth.
