When Germans and Austrians shake hands and make Vodka!
Joseph Farthofer founded his Farthofer Distillery in 1996 at the age of 24. His family had been farming their orchards and pressing cider in Austria for more than a hundred years, so branching into the distillation of Schnapps — un-aged fruit Brandies — was a natural step for him. Since then his product line up has grown to several dozen Schnapps, Gin, Vodka, Whiskey, and specialty liqueurs that are highly regarded across Europe.
Do you know Paul Hartmut Würdig? Maybe you know him by his stage name Sido. Sido is a German Rap star from Berlin. He was looking to collaborate on a specialty Vodka. Farthofer Distillery has done similar collaborations before, so they really are a perfect match. Kabumm Vodka by Sido has a LOT going for it besides its clever, modernist orb decanter. The spirit is produced from grain and rare "shell-less" oats and distilled up to thirty times! Yes, you read that correctly. It’s distilled up to thirty times in a custom-made column still until it’s so smooth and pure that no filtration is necessary.
