Celebrate St. Paddy with a hoot of a Bourbon.
Deep in the Kentucky Bourbon Trails region, one Charles M. Dedman, a local druggist, founded the Kentucky Owl Distillery in 1879. He was merrily producing Whiskey on a lot he got from his father-in-law as a wedding gift until everyone decided alcohol prohibition was a grand idea, and the Feds confiscated $40 million worth of booze. To make things worse, Al Capone (most likely) burnt down Dedman's business to the ground. The brand and the story were left forgotten in the ashes until Chuck's great-great-grandson Dixon phoenixed Kentucky Owl from oblivion.
Kentucky Owl teamed up with Irish Whiskey bonder Louise McGuane (founder of J.J. Corry) to honor the age-old connection Kentucky Whiskey-making has to Ireland. She collaborated with Master Blender John Rhea to create a special St. Patrick's Edition. It features cherry-picked barrels of Kentucky Bourbon, bonded the ol' Irish way. The unique dram offers a sweet and spicy nose and rich caramel, citrus, and chocolate flavors. We're in love!
