Lagavulin 12 Year Old - 1980s Bottling (White Horse Distillers)

This peaty old-style malt was distilled back in the Eighties when Lagavulin 16 (which eventually replaced this expression) was not yet the king of peat.

It's a beautiful Lagavulin with unmistakable notes of peat and the salty air, accompanied by a lovely sweet and fruity background. Sure, we all adore the Sixteen, but if you are lucky enough to grab a bottle of this gem, prepare to have your mind blown.
