A velvety-smooth innovation in the Islay Single Malt pool.

Laphroaig distillery was founded in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston and is located in Port Ellen, Isle of Islay. Laphroaig is famous for producing some of the smokiest Whisky in the world with a distinct flavor, in huge part influenced by the vicinity of the coast and the high moss content of its peat.

We’re talking about Whisky royalty right here, so it’s no wonder this is also the favorite Whisky of Prince Charles, who gave Laphroaig permission to use his royal warrant on all the bottles. Their core line-up has no fewer than a dozen Single Malt drams plus a host of special releases and travel retail editions.

Laphroaig Four Oak is a wonderful breath of fresh air in the Islay Single Malt pool. Complex and full-bodied, this lovely dram is hand-picked from 4 types of casks: ex-Bourbon, small 19th century-style quarter casks, large European oak hogsheads, and virgin American oak — a rarity for Scotch. This smooth expression of an Islay Single Malt Scotch begins powerful right away with vanilla that leads to stewed fruit and those classic smoky and medicinal Laphroaig notes. Enjoy this velvety peated creation neat or over a few cubes of ice.
