Samos is one of those lush Greek islands with plenty of vineyards that’s surrounded by the deep-blue sea. The conditions for the Muscat grapes are ideal and it’s there that the Metaxa Master Constantinos Raptis personally hand-picks the yield of these aromatic and rich grapes every year. METAXA, the Original Greek Spirit, was founded in 1888 by Spyros Metaxa who came from a family of silk merchants. A man of good taste and a passionate traveler, it’s no wonder he dedicated his life to fine goods. He built his first distillery in 1888 in Piraeus in the port of Athens. Back in the day, the Spirit was first compared to Cognac and Brandy but it’s almost impossible to classify. So today, it’s recognized as a one-of-a-kind amber Spirit from the Mediterranean.

Metaxa 7 Stars is a blend of a double pot-distilled Brandy made from Greek Wines and aged for 7 years in the finest Limousin oak casks, those aged Muscat Wines from the island of Samos, and a mix of Mediterranean herbs and May rose petals. The blend is then married and rested for 1 year in oak casks. This is a unique Greek Spirit that’s round and full-bodied with flavors of sweet mature fruit, and toffee. You can savor it neat, over ice, or in classic cocktails for an authentic tasting experience.
