A new Herbal Liqueur built on the New Make Single Malt and infused with seven botanicals and local honey.
Milk & Honey Distillery is the creation of serial tech entrepreneur Gal Kalkshtein and his team — Amit Dror, Simon Fried, and Roee and Naama Licht. Together they opened the first distillery in Israel. They drew up the plans in 2012 and started production in 2014. Their first products hit the shelves in 2016 and in May of 2017 they announced the first Single Malt produced in Israel — The M&H Classic. Today, their range includes New Make, two Gins, Roots Herbal Liqueur, and a handful of Single Malt versions.
Milk & Honey Roots is an Herbal Liqueur created to celebrate Israel’s 70th birthday. Starting with a Single Malt New Make, seven local herbs and botanicals were selected, including Almonds, Savory, Coriander, Jasmine, Tarragon, Thyme and Cardamom. Then the Liqueur was sweetened — appropriately — with local honey. That all makes this Spirit hard to define in a specific category, but excellent as an Aperitif. And we can’t wait to see how professional mixologists and you create new cocktail innovations because the flavor profile is just that good. Try it as a less-bitter replacement for Sweet Vermouth or Absinthe at 35% ABV.
