Elegant delight from the first Israeli Whisky-maker.

Israel is a country of winemakers and craft beer, but the year we all started beliebing, a crew of pros and home distillers established the Milk & Honey Distillery. The first drops of Spirit were distilled in 2015 and some young’uns are already bottled for us to experience. M&K are taking this noble endeavor seriously: their pot still was custom-made according to the rules of Scotland, and they hired one of the best Master Distillers, the legendary Dr. James Swan. A team of eleven works day and night to create the finest Tel Aviv Spirits.

This particular expression is an exciting blend of three casks: an ex-Bourbon barrel and two barrels that used to hold red wine, but with different levels of charring. To add complexity and the WOW factor, the blend spent a few months in a cask that was used to mature peated Islay Scotch. So goddamn cool! Even though this kosher bad boy isn’t legally Whisky (too young for that), it’s a fun release worth tasting.
