Oliver Juanillo founded a sugarcane and tobacco plantation in Cuba in the 19th century. Quickly thereafter followed a distillery, which operated successfully until 1959, when Cuba was in the midst of the revolution. The founders of Oliver & Oliver fled with their know-how into exile to the Dominican Republic. There they found the conditions to produce high quality Rum to be even better. Oliver & Oliver produce the likes of Puntacana, Tres Hombres, Ron Quorhum, Presidente and a few other top Rums.

Oliver's Exquisito Soleras 1990 is an elegant representative of the Cuban Rum style, which aims to distill the lightest, and cleanest alcohol possible, adding flavour to it only through careful ageing and blending. The base for this molasses-based Rum is a distillate from 1990 blended with Rum aged from 15-25 years. Considering the age, price and taste, this is a MUST-have for all Rum fans.
