Another refined, delicate, and delicious vintage Rum from Plantation — this time from Barbados.
Plantation Rum is owned by French Cognac producer Maison Ferrand, who controls no less than a dozen major brands of premium Spirits and liqueurs. Ferrand is all about quality… and you can taste it. Plantation Rum is their top shelf Rum label. And mighty good stuff it is, too. They offer a variety of Rums from the Caribbean. Depending on the specific actual plantation and the country of origin, the Rums can vary between soft and aromatic to light and elegant… each one showing the experienced influence of Maison Ferrand.
The range of Plantation Rums are all brilliant. And Plantation Rum Barbados Vintage 2002 is a perfect example. This vintage edition was distilled in 2002 and aged in Barbados for twelve years in ex-Bourbon casks. As per their normal practice, Maison Ferrand then transported the Rum to France and re-casked it in ex-Cognac barrels for two to three more years. This extra effort and attention to detail is what makes Rum-lovers around the world love Plantation Rums.
