While there are some distilleries that close their doors and go on to bottle their long-forgotten stock decades later, Port Ellen achieved rock star status by producing a small handful or private and official editions. In fact, this Islay distillery — now owned by Diageo — has gained quite a cult-like following. And trust us when we say, they’re a thirsty and ruthless bunch.

Distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2007 by Golden Cask, this is one of only 355 bottles in existence. Bottled at 51% ABV, this Port Ellen contender packs a punch.
