Roughstock Distillery is situated at the foothills of Bridger Mountain range in the southwest part of Montana. Superb grain and clear creek water from the snowy hilltops are the basis of their Spirits. This Montana’s first legal distillery since the end of prohibition is all about the code of the West. Named after a term in Rodeo (bareback riding of bulls and bareback horses), Roughstock is as American as it can get as even their unofficial mascot is, yup a cowboy.
Roughstock Montana Bourbon is vatted from 4 different mashbill Bourbons, each with different recipe with different amount of corn, wheat, rye and wheat. This marriage of four different characters is supervised by head distiller and co-founder Bryan Schultz and his interpretation of ideal Western style Bourbon. Distilled twice in copper pot stills and aged for at least two years in extra charred Oak casks each of the expression brings something special to the final formula of this fiery water originally vatted for rough bull, bareback bronc riding people of Montana. If you are not a cowboy, this works in any kind of cocktail and it does that with a quiet tip of the hat!
