Rum made by a family of Cognac makers may strike you as an odd release but this is no ordinary Cognac family. Jérôme and Lilian are the fourth generation of master distillers from the Tessendier family. Widely regarded as masters in Cognac since the family established production in 1880, this really is an exciting newcomer to the world of Rum. Jérôme and Lilian’s expertise allow them to blend over 300 different varieties of Cognac into their products every single year so it’s safe to say they deserve a chance to experiment with a different Spirit.

Saison or Season Rum brings together varieties of Rum from three locations: Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad. By focusing on the unique benefits of the Rum created by each region and storing the product in Cognac barrels for a final 9-12 months, this really is a Rum with a few stories to tell. The balanced caramel and coconut notes of Barbados work alongside the more exotic, fruit flavors of Jamaica, while the lightness of Trinidad Rum brings everything together. Despite being their first Rum, The Tessendiers have not been willing to play safe and this could quite soon be a Rum that everybody is talking about.

Dispite of only 7 in grade I would say that this is a smouth and lovely rum to sipp on. Like many other write, no coconut but for some reason I taste raisin and spice, for smell I would say caramel and some citrus. Lovely colour and all and all a nice rum experience
