A few years ago, a man called Ben Branson found a dusty old copy of The Art of Distillation from 1651 and realized his centuries-old farm has all the ingredients he needs to create a new kind of Spirit, a lavish and flavorful - and most eccentrically, alcohol-free! Because there are moments you have to be a responsible adult, but that doesn't mean you have to drink kids' drinks.
Seedlip, created in the faraway year of 2015, is a curious drink. It takes almost two months to macerate, distill and filtrate the various gorgeous botanicals. There are no calories, no sugar, no sweeteners, or artificial mumbo-jumbo. What’s in it, then?! Well, only the best ingredients that create a flavorful adult alternative to other non-alcoholic beverages. You’ll find it in most Michelin starred restaurants and the ritziest cocktail bars all over the world. And, of course, here.
The expression called Seedlip Garden 108 brings the substance of the English countryside with astounding herbal flavors and aromas. It's made from peas, hay, spearmint, rosemary and thyme, and it works wonderfully with Tonic water and a handful of peas. Why the number? It takes 108 days to sow, grow and pick the peas, of course. You can celebrate the English scenery with a cup of Seedlip, apple and lemon juice, cider vinegar and a dash and egg white. Call it a Garden Sour.
