The German Chevalier.

Named after Siegfried of the Nibelung Saga, who slayed a dragon and bathed in its blood, which rendered him immortal. Unfortunately a leaf from a Linden Tree fell on his back and left him vulnerable in that small spot. The blossoms from the tree are now used as the main botanical in the production of this small batch gin and today it bears the name of this famous German knight. It all started as a project for the love of Gin, just one year ago when Rheinland distillers launched “Siggi”. In that time Gin already received international awards and was received with great admiration.

Siegfried Dry Gin is micro batch distilled and includes 18 botanicals, led by the Linden Blossom. This Gin is distilled with affection and close adherence to traditional craftsmanship that employs the finest of ingredients and shuns industrial tools, preservatives and artificial flavors. In short, the Gin delivers clear notes through complexity.

Joseph Beuys: “I think the tree is an element of regeneration which in itself is a concept of time.”

Was a Sculptor, Installation Artist, Graphic Artist, Art Theorist and a member of the Fluxus movement. His work comprises: concepts of humanism, social philosophy and anthroposophy. He claimed a creative, participatory role in shaping society and politics in so called extensive form of art. He is now regarded as one of the most influential artists of the second half of the 20th century. The tree as a symbol appears in his works and also in the making of Gin connected to the German mythology.
