A superb selection of Cask Strength Whiskies, that get overlooked quite easily because they are mostly just one of the components of Chivas blends. And these are just the ones that give that special extra diversification, extra flavour, or that kick to the blend. This is a one-time oportunity to taste all of the components of a deconstructed Chivas.
Chivas Brothers Cask Strength Edition Tormore 15 Year Old: distilled in July 1998 and bottled in June 2014, cask strength at 57.4% ABV.
Chivas Brothers Cask Strength Edition Strathclyde 12 Year Old: a Lowland Single Grain Whisky distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2013. Cask strength at 62.1% ABV, there are just not many Single Grains at this strength out there!
Chivas Brothers Cask Strength Edition Glen Keith 17 Year Old: one of the great expressions and rare cask strength by Glen Keith that was distilled in the 3-year period of reopening from 1996 to 1999. Bottled in 2013 at 54.8% ABV, this is one of only 800 bottles.
Chivas Brothers Cask Strength Edition Miltonduff 18 Year Old: a Speysider aged from March 1998 and bottled sometime in August 2014. This is one sippery Speysider with that nice feel of proper ABV strength at 52.9%.
