Founded in 1948 by Fred Douglas, the Glasgow-based Douglas Laing & Co bottling company is now run by his two sons. They have amassed a vast stock of different malts over the last 50 years. Nowadays they're recognized as producers of high-quality blended malt Whiskies in the Whisky-sphere.
Big Peat Christmas Edition 2016 is unlike any bottling ever released by the firm before — it features Whiskies from every active distillery on the Isle of Islay, as well as from the closed Port Ellen distillery! Bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.6%, the new Christmas release is proudly without colouring or chill-filtration. It’s big and peated - peatheads will love this!
