Irish Single Malt meets sweet French Wine.
Bushmills is one of the most popular and enduring Irish Whiskeys. Hugh Anderson registered the company in 1784 in the town of Bushmills and, after a few fits and starts, they have been in continuous operation and growing since 1885. Jose Cuervo purchased the Old Bushmills Distillery from Diageo in 2014, but the suits know to stay out of the way of Irishman crafting their Whiskey. Bushmills currently has six Whiskeys in their core line-up in addition to special editions and releases.
Part of their Steamship Collection, Bushmills Causeway Collection Sauternes Cask 2011 is a limited-edition offering. It’s bottled at cask strength and non-chill filtered, bringing you the purest Irish Single Malt flavors. Aged for over 7 years in a combo of Oloroso and Bourbon barrels, it was finished for another 2 years in Sauternes Wine casks. Sauternes is a sweet white Wine from Bordeaux that adds a new exciting layer of delicate summer fruit flavors and fresh grapes to this unique Bushmills Single Malt. Add a drop of water to open up the palat and appreciate the complexity.
